Converting a Feed Post into an New Post

Getting Started

Go to Settings >> WP RSS Multi-Importer. From the tabs on that page select Manage Posts.

Click on Settings >> RSS Multi Importer

Navigate to and select a post that says “DO NOT DELETE” is TRUE. Open a “View” of this post in a new tab. And then mark the posted as “Auto-Delete”.

Use the “Auto-Delete” link to mark the work as completed. NEVER EVER CLICK THE BUTTON.

When you click the link that says “auto-delete” will allow the system to archive the post at the appropriate time. Click link that says “VIEW” to open the post in a new tab. Then edit that post AND create a new post.

Do not ever click the DELETE ALL PLUGIN POSTS. That will delete all the posts that are the source of the work you are doing.

Click on the Edit button to edit this post. At the same time open the “New Post” window in a different tab or window.

When editing posts use the tabs to switch back and forth between the text and visual views as needed.

It’s important to understand what you see in the EDIT POST, so I’ve taking the example post and labeled each block of code.

Each post as an image at the top of the code. The image looks like this in code:

The details

The details show information about the property, including the number of bedrooms, the size of the home, the type of property, the MLS number and the Tract are all very important for this task.

Creating the New Post

Start by writing a title. The title of the new post MUST USE THIS FORMAT.

In the above example the title of the new article is “What’s the epitome of Old Town Charm?” Notice that this title was inspired by the description above.

Now comes the article. The article is only 1 or 2 sentences long and replies to the title. In this case the article would read: “The epitome of Old Town charm found in a townhouse around $700,000 in 22314 zipcode.”

Now put the same tags on this post as were in the first post. In this case,

Create an article by writing a title and a line of text. Then search for property using the green button. The publish the new article.

The finished post will look like this.

Close Out the Source Post

Now that the new post is created it’s time to close out the source post. You’ll need the MLS number (it’s in the DETAILS).

Delete all text from the page. Use the MLS number and the green peg to add code as shown. Then add a place name image.

You can use the button to create the code or you can just copy and paste this code:

Now update publish the post. Return to the window where this started and change the post to allow for auto-delete. This link is found under the name of the original post.

Change post to allow auto delete. Mission Accomplished!
